Chad Daybell Capital Murder Trial Begins, Doerman Pleads Insanity & More

Welcome back to Courtroom Confidential with Joshua Ritter! Today, I share my insights on some of this week’s updates in the true crime world, including:

• The beginning of jury selection in the death penalty trial for so-called “Doomsday Prophet” #ChadDaybell. The 55-year-old is finally standing trial for the murders of his wife Tammy Daybell and #LoriVallow’s children, JJ Vallow and Tylee Ryan – almost one year after Vallow was convicted in the deaths.

• #GeorgeAlanKelly, a 75-year-old rancher, is standing trial for fatally shooting a Mexican citizen who was found dead on his nearly 100-acre ranch just outside the U.S.-Mexico border.

• #ChadDoerman, the father accused of killing his three sons in June 2023, has entered two pleas: not guilty and not guilty by reason of insanity.
